WHEN IT’S RIGHT FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION

Ask yourself the following questions as you consider beginning an endowed giving campaign or program.
The more questions to which you can answer “Yes,” the greater your chances for success!

Yes/No? Our organization has donors who are older (age 60 and over).
Yes/No? Our organization has donors who have valuable assets.
Yes/No? Our organization has an established annual giving program.
Yes/No? Our organization has a cultivation program through which we know our donors and their interests.
Yes/No? Our organization can identify donors who have a history of giving to us.
Yes/No? Our organization has examined our short-term and long-term goals and needs.
Yes/No? Our organization has identified uses for endowed gifts, both unrestricted endowed gifts and special purpose funds.
Yes/No? Our organization’s development function is well organized and has good record-keeping.
Yes/No? Our organization’s financial function is well organized has good record-keeping.
Yes/No? Our organization has policies about the investment and spending of endowed gifts.
